In detail: what groupage shipments look like in practice

This is a real case from Boxline Ukraine’s consolidation service.

On Friday, a 3,5-ton truck departed from Ukraine carrying 6 shipments:
• 2 to France
• 1 to Spain
• 3 to Finland

By Monday, the cargo was delivered to the warehouse in Brwinów (Warsaw), where it was deconsolidated, new transit declarations were issued, and the shipments were forwarded to their final consignees.

And this is where consolidation logistics truly begins behind the scenes.

The following day, the same vehicle loaded 14 new shipments consolidated from:
• Germany
• Belgium
• Spain
• Italy
• United Kingdom
• Ireland

Next stop – Warsaw Chopin Airport, where cargo arriving by air from China was picked up. After that, the vehicle departed for Ukraine.

On Friday, 14 shipments were delivered.
The final shipment, with a different customs clearance point, was delivered on Monday.

Route summary:
• 10 days
• 20 shipments
• 8 countries
• one 3.5-ton vehicle

And this isn’t even a full-size truck.

This is the real scale of consolidation logistics, where a single vehicle becomes part of a large logistics network connecting Ukraine, Europe, and Asia.

Groupage transport is more than just delivery.
It’s coordination, consolidation, and dozens of logistics decisions within a single route.

And this is just one of many routes organized daily by our specialists.
